5 Tips to improve your view

glasses

From macular degeneration to blur that comes after staring at a computer screen, eye health is not a joke. Our peepers have a tendency to degrade with age and guess what? It's up to you to keep that vision sharp (well, in part). Research in recent decades has shown that eye health is tied to diet and lifestyle (hear, hear). Overweight, smoke, have diabetes, eating a high fat diet, excessive alcohol consumption and low fruit and vegetable intake all increase the risk of eye diseases.

A pair of eyes that you have been given for a lifetime, here are five quick and easy tips that promote healthy eyes by David Wolfe raw foodist raw ' Avocado ':

1. eat organic, green, green vegetables , (have been known to help prevent macular degeneration). Stellar kaleoptions include, chard and spinach.

2. make sure you have plenty of Omega 3 in your diet (vista to improve and increase the power of the brain)!

3. chocolate (Eating flavonoids in chocolate help protect the blood vessels in the eye. As we need another excuse, right?)!

4. do not watch one computer screen too long. Use the rule 20/20/20. Take a break every 20 minutes. For 20 seconds, watch something 20 feet away or farther. This allows the eyes to refocus and relax and prevent blurred vision that can occur from staring at a computer screen for too long.

5. keep your eyes hydrated. You can do this from the inside-out by drinking your fair share of H2O. In addition, don a pair of sunglasses with a UV filter to keep the wind perspiration moisture from your beautiful eyes. A simple salt solution can also help to lubricate and soothe your eyes.

Thanks David!
