The biggest Hollywood celebrities these days may surprise you. No, Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway; is the all-star lineup celeb Chefs appearing at the epic Times and food and wine festival "a taste" that takes place on Labor Day weekend.
Spread over four days, "The Taste" runs 2-5 September and celebrates the Epicurean explorations of restaurants, world-renowned chefs and the best food and wine. With events happening at locations between Rodeo Drive, The Paramount Studios in Downtown Los Angeles, event goers can sample from 40 Los Angeles's best restaurants cellars, and breweries and distilleries, as well as lessons and presentations from their favorite chef du jour.
Angelino gourmet organic lovers might want to check out the secrets of kitchen & cellar on Saturday 3 September in Beverly Hills. Chef Aarti Sequeira, who won season six of The Next Food Network Star, will be one of the many cooks celeb on the site. Sequeira combines his knowledge of food, love and enthusiasm, as seen in his day cooking series Aarti party and takes a spin approachable and delicious Indian cuisine all-American classics.
Also noteworthy is the winner of the fifth season of The Next Food Network Star, Melissa d Arabian foodie, who landed the last dream job: her own show on Food Network. Ten dollar dinners with Melissa d Arabian shares tasty healthy recipes, and easy and sticks to his promise of $ 10: four people, ten bucks, infinite possibilities. Melissa will appear at the Picnic in celebration hills Labor Day on Monday, 5 September also in Beverly Hills. This is definitely one for the children, too, with homemade veggie chips and cupcakes courtesy of splash.
For those of you who like beats with beets, KCRW DJ Jason Bentley will be spinning on Friday night at the Art of mixing, which will feature food for more than 30 restaurantsarea, drinks and live music performances at The Paramount Studios in Hollywood.
