The Taco that changed the world (or at least, American agriculture)

Chipotle

If you lump all the fast-food restaurants in the same category as profit-driven-pushers of unhealthy food, you may want to define a new group: sustainable agriculture Advocates.

Chipotle, the chain of fast-casual Mexican inspiration with 1,100 locations across the United States that serves healthy food with organic and local produce from 2008, has just announced the creation of a non-profit foundation, to increase the amount of sustainable agriculture, practiced by American farmers. Are only U.S. fast food chain committed to organic and local products (10 million pounds from a radius of 350 miles of each position this year alone), and they buy more naturally raised meat than any other restaurant — proving not only that you can do, but which can also be accessed and Excel in taste. Chipotle's success can be one of the examples that brought McDonald's to agree to start the purchase cage-free eggs and moved to one of his former managers to develop a healthy fast food chain set to launch in the near future.

The foundation of cultivating Chipotle will use the funding to support family farms and farmers in the development of sustainable practices and youth targeted training programs focused on food and healthy eating. In a statement from Steve Ells, founder, President and co-CEO of Chipotle, he says, "Creating the Foundation Chipotle cultivated, we are extending our reach beyond our restaurants and support organizations and people who are working to improve individual family farms, animals and the environment and youth and education programs."

I do not believe are serious? Chipotle also released a video this week with the country music star and President of Farm Aid, Willie Nelson, singing "The Scientist" by Coldplay on an animated video of a farmer who transforms his small family farm in an industrial operation that includes drug cattle and the creation of pollution before a change of heart he returns back to the beginning "— chorus of the song, where he embraces sustainability and better food.
